INTUITIVE ACUPUNCTURE
Acupuncturists traditionally determine needle placement by taking a client pulse diagnosis indicating the status of 12 major energy meridians. Then they form a conception of where the needles should go based on their own knowledge and training.
But what if needle placement was determined by the inner intelligence of the clients themselves rather than the learned intelligence of their acupuncturists? How could this be possible?
I came to practice acupuncture after establishing myself as an alternative healer using modalities such as Reiki, reflexology, crystal healing, gem elixirs, holographic image therapy, Vietnamese stick therapy, shamanic spirit healing and magnet therapy. I had been treating a patient for a while for eczema and asthma and at one point in their treatment we were stuck, progress was slow and I felt that I needed a more powerful tool to break through her blockages. I felt a strong urge to try acupuncture. I had taken acupuncture treatments myself for 13 years so I was familiar with the approach. I decided to follow my inner guidance and I bought some needles.
Because I had never studied acupuncture formally, I began by copying my old acupuncturist. I stood back from my client and examined her energy field. I have the ability to see the human aura with my eyes and I was surprised to see what looked like spots or dots form just above her skin. I felt intuitively the needles should go there. So I inserted needles and things started to happen. She improved markedly. My client had been suffering since early childhood one major asthma attack each summer and would be hospitalized with oxygen and intravenous steroids – a near-death experience. But after 9 months of alternative acupuncture, she passed through the entire summer for the first time without being hospitalized!
I was initially quite surprised by the excellent results I was consistently getting from practicing acupuncture this new way. All I did was look into my client’s aura and put needles where I saw the spots. What could be simpler? However, I came to realize it was my client’s own inner intelligence that presented these spots. This is in marked contrast to conventional acupuncturists where the practitioner, rather than the client, determines the placement of all needles.
I have had many other similar successes with this technique and each time I remain in awe and thank the power and the genius of the inner intelligence of each of my clients, which tells me where they need the needles placed.
