How to take homeopathis remedies
Powder (single doses)
Open packet carefully. Tip contents into mouth and let dissolve.
OR
Tip into a glass container with 1-2 Tbsp. of water (distilled or bottled) and drink the contents, holding the solution in the mouth for a bit. For children, it may be easier to have them take the solution by using a teaspoon until the solution is used up. For nursing infants, the mother can take the remedy, if this is indicated.
Powder (multiple doses)
When taking a series of powder doses, take each dose approximately 24 hours apart, preferably in the evening. (For example, take powder 1 on night one, powder 2 on night 2, and powder 3 on night three.)
Drops (multiple doses)
Take dropper and hold above mouth, squeeze rubber top until one drop comes out. Take care not to touch tongue, teeth, or lips with dropper as this may contaminate the water.
OR
Squeeze one drop from the dropper into a tablespoon of water and place in mouth for 10-15 seconds and then swallow.
Note: When taking doses on a daily basis, tap the bottle against the palm of your hand firmly 4-5 times before each dose.
Restrictions
Food/Drink
Remedies are absorbed through the mouth so it is best to take them about 10-15 minutes before or after eating or drinking regular food/drinks. For remedies taken on an ongoing basis this is less of an issue.
Some substances to avoid when taking single doses of powders: toothpaste, mint, coffee, tea, camphor (for example, Vick’s Vapor rub) or any strong smelling substance. They can contain oils that coat the lining of the mouth thus preventing absorption.
Radiation
Do not leave remedies in the direct sun or exposed to intense heat or cold.
Avoid leaving remedies near electrical appliances/gadgets: computers, microwaves, electric clocks, fridge, T.V, and display type or cell phones (at least 2 feet away).
Avoid airport scanning devices (pass the remedies around for manual check – if you need, we will provide a letter stating that you are under homeopathic medical care and carrying remedies.)
Storage
Store at room temperature in a shaded area away from any electrical appliances, strong ordours, perfumes, and direct sunlight.
